How to do data logging

Back to VAG-COM

• Car's ignition OFF.
• Plug VAG-COM into car's OBD-II port and into laptop.
• Start VAG-COM.
• Turn ignition key to ON position (no need to start the car).
• Click "OBD-II".
• Click "Select".
• Click "01 - Engine".
• Click "Meas. Blocks - 08"
• Select a measuring block (measuring group): enter a number in box on left, or use up/down button to cycle through the available blocks (each block's description will be displayed).
• Click "Log"
• Select file name to save loggings to.
• Click "Start"
• Do a full-throttle run in 3rd (or 4th if you have a really long stretch of road with nobody around) from about 2000 rpm to redline (about 6500-7000 rpm).
• Click "Stop".
